My Husband's Language you ever have to decipher another language to communicate with your husband? I do.

Due to the lovely bye week (My husband coaches football if you haven't pieced that one together), K and I were able to spend some quality time together (as you saw in my Mountain Post) So we were sitting around having a nice lunch just chatting away....okay, I was doing most of the chatting...and I was going on and on about this emo person that I know.At the word emo my husband's eyes got glazed over and he looked at me kind of goofy and suddenly his brain got to working.

Me: What is up?

K: What do you mean emo?

Me: Well you know emo, you've heard that before K, don't make me explain know!

K: Well yes I've heard it before, I use it often, but I don't think we are on the same page.

Me: What? (My turn for the glazed over look...)

K: Emo means End Man on the Line of Scrimmage. So when you said emo, I think end man on the line of scrimmage.

Me: Aye, no it doesn't.

K: Yes it does.

Me: Are you thinking about football...plays...protections...the whole bit now?

K: Yes.

End of Lunch

This is how most of our conversations end. Don't even let me go into when we first started dating, Wednesday night was considered date night...yet for a GA, all he wanted to do was sit on the couch and rest. (I don't blame the guy, I use to find him wearing the same outfit two days in a row - a CRIME in my book - and he said he slept for an hour in the office, no time to change. yuck.) However, he would like to teach me a few protections (football stuff)...what?

Out comes the white board! Yes...we would sit there for hours so he could practice teaching protections...but to me. A compliment to me was that I would ask the same types of questions some 18 year old boy would ask...fabulous.

How did we ever end up married? ha! I love the guy.

That was an insight into my relationship, see you guys Friday!

*Correction: There is a correction to this blog. My husband read my blog this morning! Kinda cool I think. But he text me (he NEVER texts me) and said "I thought you were saying EMOL, not EMO" So EMOL means end man on the line of scrimmage. Ah, the miscommunication continues....

Ha! This is such a cute post Mia! I love that you were surprised that he read your blog :-) I am always caught off guard when my hubby asks me a question about something I posted!

And the way you guys were talking about football lingo (glazed eyes and all!) is how I feel when my husband gets talking about golf. For hours. And hours...:-)
Have a great day girl!

LOL I love this post! Men are so silly. We gotta love em though and their constant misunderstanding of what we're talking about! And that's sweet that he reads your blog. I saw on my blog stats the other day that someone kept googling my blog name and I was like who is that? it turns out my fiance was googling it to catch up on my blog!
