Friday Favorites!

I am still debating moving this blog post to a different day of the week so stay tuned...

I am so excited for next week! I am going to post a blog for the boys...you'll see what I mean. And I had a request for Rent the Runway I'll let you know what I'm thinking...but I'd love your feedback first. Have you ever tried this service?

So....

Favorite Family Time
I was able to go home and see my sister's Senior Soccer Game last weekend! Super fun and I'm so proud of her. I can't believe how fast time has flown! I feel like it was only a few weeks ago we moved her into that dorm room! Congrats Macy!!

Favorite Halloween Decor
My gf Juanita gave me some black owls from Urban Outfitters (I couldn't find them online, but I still linked up just so you could find the store if wanted...) and they look Awesome on my fall mantel!)

Favorite Book I'm Reading this Week
I already showed you my signed book from Design Sponge this week....seriously go to Anthropologie and check it out!

Favorite Accessory I wore this Week
I finally tried my Floppy Hat!! And I think I'm loving it!! What do you think?

Sorry for the fuzzy cell phone photos....I think this ol' blackberry is about to bite the dust.

Happy Friday to all!! It is going to be a very wet homecoming this weekend, but I think I'm going to have some GREAT tailgating food to share next week!

Boob Tube Babble!

Time for some Boob Tube Babble!

Boob Tube Babble

I caught up on a few shows this week but nothing really got me too excited to blog about. Well besides Revenge like usual...

From the previews I really thought Jack was figuring Emily/Amanda out, but I was wrong...just professing some love!

So this post is dedicated to the Fashionista that is Emily VanCamp. I never really notice how STYLISH this woman was until her gorgeous dresses made an appearance on Revenge, now I follow her Red Carpet style and I am in love! I want her closet. But for the sake of Boob Tube Babble we'll stick to the shows amazing outfits....

We'll start this post of with a BANG...all time favorite dress.....the red 4th of July one on this week's episode. I need a dress for my bro-in-law wedding this summer and THIS puppy was IT! Until...the husband told me he would not buy an $1800 Jason Wu for me. Ugh, darn hubby. (I knew it was Jason Wu thanks to Possessionista visit her for any question!)

Next with curly, messy hair...love it....

And I'm not a huge Missoni lover....but this is perfect...

And stunning gold number....and the dress is even more amazing with some eye candy to go with it :-)

And gorgeous color, great neckline....and side chingnon?? It is talking to me.....

Little pretty yellow number....

And Lastly for today.....

Ahh! I can't wait to see more of that red number!! Even though by that point the show is going to be SUPER intense and not sure which way it could twist and ahhh....

That is all! I'll be back later for Friday Favorites!

The Help

I finally finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett this weekend. I am not going to do a review of this book because some have found it to be controversial and my blog is not controversial, only fun :-) But I did want to bring it up because of the review on the front cover. NPR had compared it to being with the likes of "To Kill a Mockingbird." I was required to read "To Kill a Mockingbird" in one of my English classes in highschool. Will my kids be required to read "The Help" when they reach highschool? If this is the case, I think it is pretty amazing to be living through a time that a book with that much influence was published. If that happens...
One thing I would like to note, Kathryn Stockett wrote in one of my favorite styles. I love when authors define the chapters by Characters. I love transitioning back and forth through different character voices and personalities. And I do believe Kathryn did an amazing job of defining each and every character. They all had such strong personalities that leaped from the pages. I did enjoy reading about such characters. It kept me intrigued and wanting to learn more about them.

I know I'm a little late finishing this book. I still need to see the movie too. I ALWAYS try reading the books before seeing the movies. I think the books are better and I don't want the movie to ruin it for me. I've been behind on my reading, but with the Holidays around the corner, colder weather keeping us inside, I feel like I'll be back on the reading wagon soon!

If you are reading this from Colorado, hope you are enjoying a Snow Day!
