Hot Yoga Round 2

Yes you read that right. After my first hot yoga experience here, I tried it again! Why? Because of another darn Groupon I bought. I bought this Groupon long before I tried hot yoga the first time and I received an email the other day that it was about to expire, so I thought I'd try this new studio.

I've learned that there is a difference between hot yoga and bikram yoga. My last experience was with bikram yoga. With hot yoga, the room is slightly cooler. I'm talking a difference between 97 degrees and 104 degrees. Hmmm...

There still wasn't any music in this new class. I hate not having music. However, it was a bit more laid back. People had fun, they didn't take it to seriously so I felt like I fit in more. BUT, it was a very popular class so we were inches apart from each other, mats touching. This my friends caused for some unnecessary touching during poses. As we learned last time, I HATE that. I hate touching my husband when he sweats let alone the total stranger who is "yoga breathing" next to me.

I will try this studio again though. I have more classes on my Groupon pass AND they told me they have a fun hot yoga class WITH music at 6:15am. That is freaking early, but I'm going to try it Monday! Cross your fingers for me that I love it!

One thing I did learn from my hot yoga experience, you sweat a lot. So even if you are coming from work, which I did...take off your eye makeup! Or else you will look like my fellow Husker alum Matt Slauson. I know I did.

Glad this one wasn't so bad!! But no-- I'm not cool with the touching during hot yoga. Big no-no. The ones right after work were always the busiest, in my experience. I wish my groupon hadn't expired, but I'm not paying $100/mo to go back! :/

I still feel like I just don't have the patience for such classes. Even Power Pilates bores me at times. I watch girls wipe away their raccoon eyes at cardio classes and I think, "Why didn't you just wash your face first?" Working out with make-up on has always led to break-outs for me.
Good luck on Monday!
