This is what I'd be wearing to the Kentucky Derby this weekend...if I was going! This event is one that is on my husband and I's bucket list, so one day we'll make it happen. But until then...I can dream up the perfect hat that I will be spending a nice chunk of money on only to wear it once. This year I gave myself two options: black & white and pop of color!

While attending UK in Lexington (an hour from Louisville), I went to the Derby. Thinking we would be in the stands, I wore a cute outfit and hat. Nope... we were in the in-field which was a big mud pit full of drunks. We couldn't even see the race! Someone threw up on my foot, my clothes were covered in dirt and who knows what else and I got a really bad sunburn. One of the worst days of my life. I think I'll stick to Keeneland (horse track in Lex).

I bought a big floppy hat at target that I am going to wear all day Saturday to honor the Derby... Plus I gives me the courage to wear the big floppy hat.
