This was my look to the UNC Football game this week. Go Tarheels! The day was gorgeous - cool breeze, but warm enough to wear a summer dress. I believe a nice denim jacket is the perfect investment piece. Believe it or not - I've had this one from the Gap since my freshman year of highschool. 12 years ago! Picking a solid wash and classic cut are key points - make it timeless so you will wear again and again.

GO HEELS! I was at the game as well and unfortunately it was not our best showing. Love the maxi! It is so hard to find Carolina Blue items.
Love this! I recently purchased a denim jacket - but did not follow your rules at all, I chose one with aztec inspired embroidery (random, I know), pretty trendy right now and I do love it so, but definitely not something I'll wear for 12 years (seriously, that's impressive!)
