Welcome back to the Challenge! It was a nice little weekend break!
Day #6 is Favorite Holiday Food/Treats. Well when I think of Holiday treats I automatically think of Christmas Cookies! They are one of my favorite things about this time of year. And boy have I seen creative ones!
My husband's family has the most unbelievable sugar cookie recipe. I'm still trying to perfect it, I just can't get it right. But I thought I'd share with you my cookies I've made in the past. Sugar and Gingerbread.
Now for someone who was not a cook or a baker, I was pretty proud of myself. But then this thing called Pinterest entered my life....and I was wrong. Some of the Christmas cookies I've encountered should be considered a professional job well done! Let me show you what I mean...

So as you can see I need some work on my decorating skills. I am setting aside next weekend to bake. I'll keep you all updated! Do you have any tips for me?

I've been trying to hold off on holiday baking until closer to Christmas, but I don't think I can contain myself after seeing all these goodies. I must bake now!
I love sugar cookies, there is so much you can do with them! I am the same way with Pinterest, putting my baking to shame!
Ha, thanks to pinterest I now dream about all the baked goods I can't make. Baking isn't my thing (I just don't have the patience, I think?!). Love the cookies you posted that you actually made; they look tasty and pretty!
