I've been struggling with the camo trend. I can't pull it off. I've tried - without success. I finally came across this lightweight jacket that was the perfect add-on if I'm willing to try and give the camo look another shot. Plus it is perfect for a NC fall. Utilizing trends in layers is a great way to test pieces - if I walk by a mirror and realize how hideous something may be? I can shed it. 

I just got back from NYC last night. It was a wonderful trip and Lucky FABB was amazing. I had the chance to learn a lot and meet unbelievable bloggers! I can't wait to share some photos later this week!

This is my 5th and final look in this series with Athleta. I wanted to save the best for last! I absolutely adore this bright, gorgeous shade of pink. I am a big fan of wearing black to the gym for its phenomenal slimming effect - but I am very much drawn to brighter colors to put me in a great mood! Plus this top is so comfortable and the pants fit perfect!

I like to incorporate a bit of floral into my Fall wardrobe. As much as I love the rich, dark colors of Fall - the floral helps keep it a little light. Plus - the black background and mirrored image gives it a little edge.

Athleta - Look Two

This is my second look in my collaboration with Athleta. Look one was very wearable for running around town all day. I love this look because it enables me to get a great work out in at the gym and in these chilly winter months coming up, the vest keeps me warming from the car to building. I always fall for pieces I can wear different ways - for example the collar of this vest! I love the pop of pink. These pants were my favorite in the entire collaboration. The relay tight could not be more flattering and comfortable!

I know several of my friends that try to fit a handful of activities into a Saturday - myself included! But how do you jump from errands, to the gym, to lunch with friends and feel comfortable with what you are wearing? Layers tend to be my solution to that problem. I love to wear looks that I can wear into my Yoga class and then throw on a coat in the chilly Fall weather to run to lunch with my girlfriends. Athleta has perfect pieces to layer that work in and out of the gym. For example, I am crazy about a pair of athletic pants that has a girly skirt. And I'm in love with rich, jeweled colors for fall! And I think that raincoat speaks for itself!

There is something about dressing up in all black that makes me feel strong and powerful. Yet, it is an easy look to put together. You can never go wrong with nice black pieces in your wardrobe. I'm just finishing up a work conference in Las Vegas - I'm excited to get back home to my husband!
