I just can't get enough of bright colors right now pair with those gorgeous pink blooms on those trees! I tell Keith every day - our next house will have a backyard FULL of those!

I can't get over that August is upon us. Keith starts football today so it is our official "end of summer." Bye bye Keith (this was my post to him last year).

Tractor Ride

This was the night of my sister's rehearsal dinner. In Iowa. So naturally we rode Tractors.

The bride is obviously the blinged out sparkle doll. Love her.

These are my two sisters...Mia, Marlo and Macy. The 3 M's. Already back in NC - missing them like crazy!

  Today I am participating in Marionberry Style's Trend Challenge of the Month: HATS. And it is one of my favorites. I am a big fan of hats, specifically the Fedora. Especially in these summer months. I'll throw one on to run errands, hit the pool or meet up with friends. They are so versatile, comfortable and just plain cute! Pairing it with this moto jacket gives it a little more edge.

I never though I'd find bugs so cute. I love the different shades of pink ladybugs. I think it is a fun print for Summer and enjoyed wearing it on my trip to Iowa! Even if my sister kept swatting me "Mia there is a bug on you!" ha ha...yes it got old.

I am sure you can relate to having a crazy schedule where when you step out the door at 7am you need to be prepared to work a full day and be able to transition into an eventful night. I love collecting pieces in my wardrobe to help me do just that. Basics, such as this black tshirt, are so transitional and versatile I can wear day to night. 

The one important tip I would give when choosing the right basics is to make sure if you go the tshirt route - make sure to pick good quality fabric. A tshirt can be just that - a tshirt. But a tshirt made from good quality can be dressed up or down.

What I've Been Up To

I am finally back in North Carolina after a 3 week midwest road trip. I worked from the road - so it was the furthest thing from a vacation, but it was SO nice to see our family! We got to meet our new nephew and married off my youngest sister!

Once we got back - I was able to catch up with a few of the TriFABB girls at the Apricot Lane Grand Opening. The Fashion Show was cancelled due to rain - but we still had a great time trying on different outfits and visiting with their awesome staff!

We got a lot of rain last week when we were in Wisconsin. Let me tell you...I do not miss the mosquitoes since moving to North Carolina! But since we had some gloomy skies I chose some bright colors to lighten the mood! We are now onto our next stop on our midwest road trip. Minnesota! Later this week we are off to Iowa to marry off my sister!
